Drivetrain Technician
EDF Renewables North AmericaDrivetrain Technician supporting renewable energy projects, assisting with MCR services and training EDF crews. Involves travel to various locations while ensuring safety during operations.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with MCR specialized services.
- Assist Drivetrain Specialist in training EDF crews with crane calling and rigging procedures & qualifications.
- Work independently while performing all aspects of large corrective repairs and R&R of major components.
- Oversee the safe operation of EDF and contractor employees during the removal & replacement (R&R) of major components.
- Develop tooling and fixtures to perform large corrective repairs.
- Travel to other sites to support Site managers as needed.
- Assist with developing, writing, and training work procedures and control instructions for heavy lift operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced Wind technician experience.
- Education/Experience: High school or equivalent; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must successfully complete applicable safety and technical training program for advanced wind technician.
- Able to demonstrate basic computer knowledge.
- Able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
