About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver high-quality client service support by preparing reports, maintaining project trackers, organizing logistics, and ensuring materials are ready for meetings and calls.
  • Demonstrate strong fundamentals in research, writing, editing, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Monitor and analyze traditional media coverage, social media conversations, relevant announcements in the disease space, and competitor activity.
  • Develop client-facing flags of noteworthy developments, as appropriate.
  • Conduct research to inform briefings, stakeholder maps, and landscape analyses.
  • Draft and edit materials such as press releases, client reports, spokesperson talking points, long-form articles, social media content and meeting summaries.
  • Review clinical data of core client products, as well as relevant competitor therapeutics, and be able to incorporate datapoints into materials, as appropriate.
  • Engage with cross-functional colleagues across creative, analytics, digital, paid media, creator, and strategy teams to deliver cohesive, integrated work.
  • Actively participate in Edelman learning programs and internal networking opportunities to broaden exposure to different practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Internship or relevant experience in communications, public affairs, or related disciplines (e.g., research, consulting, media, or government).
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated accountability, curiosity, and commitment to client service excellence.
  • Interest or knowledge of the rare disease and hematology space(s) is a plus.
