About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Increase sales and revenue by managing relationships with one-step distributors, builders/remodelers, contractors, and architects
- Act as business liaison between EDCO and its Distributors
- Ensure Distributors and/or dealers maintain the proper product mix, marketing tools, and inventory levels
- Meet regularly with existing customers to understand their current and evolving business needs
- Build long-term, productive, mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers
- Collaborate with distributor(s) to identify growth opportunities
- Develop a target list of opportunities and priorities
- Develop a strategic plan to investigate and develop these opportunities
- Source sales opportunities through contractors, architects, and design build firms
- Build and promote EDCO’s brand awareness within the sales territory
- Seek out and attend trade events, dealer shows, architect shows/meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in exterior building materials industry
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
- 3+ years sales experience (ideally in a distributor-based business model)
- A desire to win and persevere through building mutually beneficial relationships with customers
- Able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers
- Self-motivated and highly organized to strategically grow territory and manage budgets
- Possess intermediate or higher PC skills (Outlook, word, Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of an ERP system and CRM preferable
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned market.
- Valid Driver’s license and approved driving record
