About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Increase sales and revenue by managing relationships with one-step distributors, builders/remodelers, contractors, and architects
  • Act as business liaison between EDCO and its Distributors
  • Ensure Distributors and/or dealers maintain the proper product mix, marketing tools, and inventory levels
  • Meet regularly with existing customers to understand their current and evolving business needs
  • Build long-term, productive, mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers
  • Collaborate with distributor(s) to identify growth opportunities
  • Develop a target list of opportunities and priorities
  • Develop a strategic plan to investigate and develop these opportunities
  • Source sales opportunities through contractors, architects, and design build firms
  • Build and promote EDCO’s brand awareness within the sales territory
  • Seek out and attend trade events, dealer shows, architect shows/meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in exterior building materials industry
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • 3+ years sales experience (ideally in a distributor-based business model)
  • A desire to win and persevere through building mutually beneficial relationships with customers
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and highly organized to strategically grow territory and manage budgets
  • Possess intermediate or higher PC skills (Outlook, word, Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of an ERP system and CRM preferable
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned market.
  • Valid Driver’s license and approved driving record
