Regional Director
EDC - Engineering Design ConsultantsRegional Director leading engineering teams at EDC, driving strategic direction and excellence in project delivery. Responsible for client management and operational oversight in London office.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, inspire, and drive high-performing teams, delivering best-in-class engineering and business outcomes
- Shape the strategic direction of the office, ensuring strong commercial performance and maintaining excellence in project delivery
- Translate company strategy into clear, actionable plans
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and key client relationships
- Embed QA/QC, risk management, and operational discipline
- Continuously improve operational workflow and manage project delivery issues during construction stage
- Own and deliver office performance, including accountability for revenue, margin, utilisation, and delivery outcomes
- Build and lead a high-performing team, including development of future leaders and succession planning within the office
- Take accountability for BIM coordination on local office projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Strategic Management or Project Management desirable
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in engineering (technical) roles
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in team management
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in strategic or corporate management
- Proven experience with accountability for business unit or office-level performance, including revenue, margin, and delivery outcomes
- Expert Engineering / design knowledge, including creating technical procedures, technical assessments & QA
- Proven track record with successfully leading and delivering MEP projects from concept to hand-over
- Sets and executes clear goals and priorities
- Excellent judgement, strategic thinking and decision making and execution in complex, ambiguous situations
- Builds strong, lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders, gathers and acts on client feedback and market intelligence
- Demonstrates superior flexibility and adaptive skills.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset whilst seeking out opportunities for strategic change in the business
- Demonstrates consistent high performance for self and team, ambitiously achieving results, highly resilient
- Strong commercial and operational discipline, with the ability to balance growth, margin, and delivery quality
