Regional Director
EDC - Engineering Design ConsultantsRegional Director leading and delivering MEP engineering projects at EDC. Shaping strategic direction, ensuring commercial performance, and building high performing teams in Cork.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, inspire, and drive high-performing teams, delivering best-in-class engineering and business outcomes
- Shape the strategic direction of the office, ensuring strong commercial performance, and maintaining excellence in project delivery
- Develop leadership business strategies with the Leadership team to achieve company sales KPI and target sectors
- Translate company strategy into a clear office-level business plan with defined revenue, margin, and performance targets
- Manage project delivery teams including project performance, employee performance management and client retention
- Build and lead a high-performing team, including development of future leaders and succession planning within the office
Requirements
What you’ll need- Honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Strategic Management or Project Management desirable
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in engineering (technical) roles
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in team management
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in strategic or corporate management
- Proven experience with accountability for business unit or office-level performance, including revenue, margin, and delivery outcomes
- Expert Engineering / design knowledge, including creating technical procedures, technical assessments & QA
- Proven track record with successfully leading and delivering MEP projects from concept to hand-over
- Excellent judgement, strategic thinking and decision making and execution in complex, ambiguous situations
- Strong commercial and operational discipline, with the ability to balance growth, margin, and delivery quality
- Visionary leadership skills – can articulate a clear and compelling vision and purpose that mobilises and engages others
