About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the delivery of Mechanical Engineering projects across all stages, taking full ownership of programme, quality, coordination, and overall project outcomes.
- Undertake and oversee Mechanical design work as required, ensuring technical excellence from concept through to construction.
- Manage the Mechanical design process to ensure all deliverables meet project requirements, programme, and relevant standards.
- Provide clear direction and leadership to project teams, including Senior Engineers and junior staff, ensuring accountability and effective performance across all project activities.
- Manage project resources and support the planning and organisation of team workload to achieve efficient and timely delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, leading technical discussions, managing expectations, and supporting the development of strong and lasting client relationships.
- Drive the implementation and adoption of new systems, technologies, and processes where appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues across EDC offices to support project delivery and business objectives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
- 6 + years Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office
- Experience with thermal modelling, energy assessment, dynamic energy modelling software advantageous.
- Commercial sector knowledge and BIM experience a strong advantage.
- Chartership Desirable.
