About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the delivery of Mechanical Engineering projects across all stages, taking full ownership of programme, quality, coordination, and overall project outcomes.
Undertake and oversee Mechanical design work as required, ensuring technical excellence from concept through to construction.
Manage the Mechanical design process to ensure all deliverables meet project requirements, programme, and relevant standards.
Provide clear direction and leadership to project teams, including Senior Engineers and junior staff, ensuring accountability and effective performance across all project activities.
Manage project resources and support the planning and organisation of team workload to achieve efficient and timely delivery.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, leading technical discussions, managing expectations, and supporting the development of strong and lasting client relationships.
Drive the implementation and adoption of new systems, technologies, and processes where appropriate.
Collaborate with colleagues across EDC offices to support project delivery and business objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
6 + years Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
Expert user of Microsoft Office
Experience with thermal modelling, energy assessment, dynamic energy modelling software advantageous.
Commercial sector knowledge and BIM experience a strong advantage.
Chartership Desirable.
