About the role

  • Own and drive sales growth in Italian DIY and home improvement market, ensuring achievement of business development and revenue targets
  • Develop and execute the Italian channel strategy in alignment with the company’s overall objectives — covering all key channels such as national DIY chains, distributors, and independent dealers
  • Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with major DIY chains (e.g., Leroy Merlin, OBI, Bricocenter, Bricoman, Bricofer etc.), ensuring mutual growth and high customer satisfaction
  • Identify and open new accounts in areas or chains where the company has not yet established presence
  • Lead channel and product planning, including assortment, pricing, and promotion strategies tailored to the Italian market
  • Plan and execute quarterly and annual sales plans, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, logistics, service, finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales and channel activities
  • Support capability building in retail excellence, in-store marketing, and sales effectiveness to strengthen overall channel performance

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of sales experience into one or more leading DIY retail chains in Italy (e.g., Leroy Merlin, OBI, Bricocenter, Bricoman, Bricofer etc.)
  • Solid understanding of the Italian DIY and home improvement market, including key players, trends, and category dynamics
  • Proven experience in new business development, with a track record of driving growth and building strong customer relationships
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset – able to translate data and insights into effective sales strategies
  • Hands-on and results-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written; Italian language fluency is assumed
  • Experience in garden machinery or related product categories is an advantage, but not essential.
