About the role
- Gather and analyze client energy bills to identify potential energy savings based on current energy rates and the building’s energy use intensity (EUI)
- Analyze mechanical/ electrical/ control drawings and perform site surveys to understand the operation of the building
- Develop energy conservation measures based on clients’ needs and financial parameters
- Develop and perform calculations using a combination of software and simulations of potential energy savings from the proposed design
- Select equipment based on energy performance
- Prepare project construction budgets and develop financial models
- Provide technical assistance to the Construction Manager during the construction phase of the project
- Monitor project performance to ensure attainment of anticipated energy savings
- Develop technical concepts and associated written documentation required by the Client Acquisition Team and support the Sales Team in identifying clients’ needs
- Participate in internal and external meetings/presentations and nurture client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Physics Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Design Engineering or Mechanical Systems Design
- Proven ability to translate theoretical expertise and past experience into practical solutions, leveraging intuition, technical knowledge, and collaboration with other engineers
- Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for writing to draft technical reports, present proposals, and engage directly with stakeholders
- Experience with energy efficiency and decarbonization projects an advantage

- Annual base salary, approximately $100,000 – $140,000, based on location and experience, with annual reviews to stay market-competitive US

Requirements
