About the role
- Active management of a portfolio of medium-sized customers — from onboarding through adoption to long-term partnership
- Development of individual Energy Champion roadmaps for each customer — aligned with regulatory requirements (e.g., EED, ISO 50001, EnMS obligations) and the customer's ambition for energy cost optimization, in harmony with the use of the ecoplanet Cockpit
- Conducting business reviews and translating platform capabilities into measurable customer outcomes
- Close collaboration with customer-side energy leads — you will be their primary sparring partner
- Internal voice of the customers — you provide structured insights to Product, Sales and Leadership
- Building and further developing a small CSM team and contributing to the design of scalable playbooks
- Identifying expansion/upsell potential in the existing customer base in close coordination with the Sales team
Requirements
- Energy background — one of the following paths (first option preferred): Energy consultant: 3–5+ years in energy consulting, with experience analyzing and optimizing energy consumption for industrial clients or medium-sized companies
- Energy manager: Proven experience in establishing or operating an Energy Management System (EnMS) on the company side — ideally including ISO 50001 implementation or BAFA audit processes
- Regulatory know-how: Knowledge of relevant requirements in energy management systems (EED, ISO 50001, BAFA, etc.)
- Leadership experience: Experience leading or guiding a team — you set high standards and bring people along
- Hands-on mentality: You work directly with customers — not a purely management role but real operational responsibility
- Strong communication skills: You distill complexity clearly — with energy managers as well as with executives
- Fluent German, good English
- Strong plus / highly relevant: Experience using digital energy tools
- Experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup
