Account Executive
EconoliteAccount Executive managing customer relationships and expanding markets for ITS solutions. Actively engaging with agencies and stakeholders in the Maryland region for traffic management systems.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Actively manage and develop customer relationships throughout the assigned territory, including Maryland, Washington D.C., and Delaware.
- Conduct regular in-person customer visits with transportation agencies, consultants, contractors, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships, and support ongoing projects.
- Maintain a consistent field presence by traveling throughout the territory, primarily by vehicle, to ensure adequate coverage of all key accounts and prospects.
- Develop and execute a territory coverage plan to ensure all major customers and potential customers are visited on a recurring basis.
- Utilize company CRM and territory management tools, including MapMyCustomers, to document customer visits, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
- Provide weekly reports to management summarizing customer meetings, business development activities, project opportunities, and planned territory travel.
- Serve as the primary field representative for Econolite within Maryland, Washington D.C., and Delaware, promoting the company's ITS solutions, products, and services while expanding market presence and customer engagement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering preferred OR equivalent experience in Engineering or Account Management role.
- 5 years plus experience in Engineering/ Account Management/Traffic Signal Support role.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment or independently.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the traffic industry is preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience in Connected Vehicle technologies desirable.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
- IMSA Level III is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
