About the role
- Development and maintenance of backend systems for e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, OXID, Shopware, Gambio and the headless e-commerce platform Makaira.
- Design and implementation of high-performance, secure APIs and integrations with third-party services.
- Optimization and scaling of existing backend systems.
- Close collaboration with frontend developers and project managers to ensure seamless interaction between frontend and backend.
- Integration of new technologies and tools to continuously improve development processes.
- Troubleshooting and bug fixing to ensure stable operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in backend development, preferably in the e-commerce sector.
- Very good knowledge of PHP (including frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel).
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, OXID, Shopware, Gambio and Makaira.
- Experience in full-stack development is a plus (e.g., JavaScript, Vue.js, React).
- Ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills and a high standard of quality.
