About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain standard costs, including materials, labor, scrap, yields, and overhead rates
- Perform variance analysis to monitor cost performance
- Conduct in-depth inventory analysis and reporting (MoM/YoY trends, inventory turns, DIO, E&O)
- Analyze product and customer-level margins, profitability of bids and quotes, and financial performance of projects and capital expenditures
- Support monthly financial close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to turn data into actionable insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Product Engineering
- 3–5+ years of cost accounting or technical product experience
- Deep knowledge of BOMs, routers, manufacturing orders, variance analysis, and related terminology
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365, JDE 9.1, or similar), including system implementation
- Advanced Excel modeling and strong Power BI dashboard skills
- A strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving, judgment, and communication skills
- Resilience, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement
