Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the team to effectively direct and coordinate material handling activities
Ensure all reports are developed to fulfill expectations of their duties
Set objectives for cross-training employees
Lead safety program and drive continuous improvement
Direct inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, order processing and customer service
Ensure operational compliance with standards, policies and procedures
Develop direct reports and promote 100% employee engagement
Drive communications with contacts across business and foster close relationships with key vendors/suppliers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma or equivalent/GED and 4 years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics or related environment
4 years of experience in logistics, transportation and/or warehousing environments
2 years of supervisory experience
Must be able to work with formal ERP Warehouse Management Systems, preferably SAP
Experience in managing 3rd Party Logistics Providers, including an understanding of cost models
Experience in TPM, Lean, and/or 5S
