About the role
- Develop and execute the long-term strategic plan for the Pharma market with global leaders to drive specific segment plans
- Lead the creation of global segment strategies, including market positioning, customer segmentation, and competitive differentiation
- Identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, including partnerships and M&A
- Oversee the full portfolio of contamination control solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturers
- Drive innovation pipeline development in collaboration with RD&E, Regulatory, and Technical teams
- Oversee product lifecycle management, including launches, phase-ins/outs, and regulatory-driven updates
- Partner with Sales, Marketing Communications, and Regional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategies
- Ensure alignment of messaging and value proposition across global markets
- Maintain deep knowledge of customer processes, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
- Lead customer insight initiatives and develop strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Conduct market sizing and opportunity analysis to guide investment and resource allocation
- Lead and develop a team of high-performing marketers (8+ associates) globally, providing mentorship and career development
- Drive cross-functional alignment and communication across Portfolio, Segment, and Commercial teams
- Report to the VP, Global Marketing with a dotted-line to the Global GM, Pharma Strategy and lead segment long-term strategic planning processes and initiatives
Requirements
- MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
- 8+ years marketing or related experience
- 10+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences manufacturing and/or development industry
- Experienced in managing large global and diverse teams
- Translates the vision/mission of the organization into actionable, quantitative plans
- Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- May be required to undergo additional background screens and/or drug/alcohol testing for customer credentialing
- May be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster if eligible, unless a religious or medical accommodation is requested and approved
