About the role
- Serve as engineering technical expert for the alternate supplier qualifications including specification analysis, commercial impacts, conducting initial impact assessment from the relevant technical aspects, SME coordination and approvals
- Lead OI project management for new supplier approvals, substitution and consolidation projects to enable growth, cost optimization, and security of supply
- Effectively communicate requirements and timelines to internal stakeholders for the implementation of OI projects
- Liaison between Procurement and the engineering teams to find new opportunities and support tight material issues that arise
- Collaborate effectively with global OI teams and other key functions including RDE, regulatory, procurement, supply chain and marketing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with 6 years of experience
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with 4 years of experience
- 1+ years of project management experience
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills are essential
- Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter with strong initiative and personal accountability
- Naturally curious and willing to learn and adapt to new fast-changing technologies
