About the role
- Serve as engineering technical expert on the Low-Cost Market Sourcing team for the alternate supplier qualifications including specification analysis, conducting initial impact assessment from the relevant technical aspects, SME coordination and approvals
- OI project management for new supplier approvals, substitution and consolidation projects to enable growth, cost optimization, and security of supply.
- Effectively communicate requirements and timelines to internal stakeholders for the implementation of OI projects
- Collaborate effectively with global OI teams and other key functions including RDE, regulatory, procurement, supply chain and marketing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related Engineering or technical discipline with 5 years of experience working in research, development, engineering or supply chain related environment; or Masters’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related Engineering or technical discipline with 3 years of experience working in research, development, engineering or supply chain related environment
- Fluent (oral and written) in Spanish and English
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills are essential
- Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
