Product Manager

• Define and lead product strategy and delivery for Open VSX and other high-growth services, as assigned by the interim Head of Products
• Drive adoption, activation, and retention using product-led growth strategies tailored for developer tools and infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver enhancements that improve reliability, performance, and usability
• Define, measure, and optimize growth metrics such as activation rates, user engagement, retention, and churn
• Design and run experiments to test onboarding flows, pricing strategies, and feature performance
• Maintain a growth-focused product backlog and communicate trade-offs, priorities, and rationale with stakeholders
• Partner with marketing, ecosystem development, and community teams to create outreach campaigns and content that support growth goals

Open Source Product Manager – Growth

Infrastructure Engineer

• Design and maintain high-availability mirror infrastructure for Open VSX content distribution
• Manage cloud resources across European and global providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Implement security controls, backups, and disaster recovery strategies
• Support PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch clusters for performance and reliability
• Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Monitor system health using observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and respond to incidents
• Collaborate with SREs and developers to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Provide technical support to users and community contributors
• Maintain documentation and contribute to operational playbooks

Manager

• Serve as the full-lifecycle owner for Open VSX and Eclipse Foundation-hosted services; accountable for availability, incident response, service scaling, and roadmap execution
• Coordinate across IT/ Infrastructure, Security, Community Programs, and other teams to ensure unified delivery
• Own delivery priorities, operational stability, and risk mitigation for assigned services
• Maintain visible, responsive service health, roadmap, and performance updates for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead daily operations, monitoring, alerting, incident response, change planning, and postmortems
• Identify operational risks and technical debt; implement forward-looking improvements
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to ensure reliability and support coverage
• Implement tools and processes that support observability, automation, and operational maturity

• Oversee PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch clusters, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability
