About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the strategic direction and continuously develop the product portfolio (EU VAT, customs, tax compliance)
Provide functional and disciplinary leadership and further development of the product organization (2 Product Managers, 6 Product Owners, plus operational team leadership of 6 employees)
Closely coordinate with Product Management, Product Owners and relevant stakeholders on market requirements and roadmap prioritization
Hold final decision-making responsibility for strategic and operational matters and manage escalations
Monitor market trends, competitors and regulatory changes to ensure sustainable market alignment
Produce KPI-based reports and well-founded decision papers for executive management
Actively contribute to shaping strategic initiatives and organizational development
Ensure quality standards and establish efficient operational processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in product-related roles
Successfully completed university degree in Business Administration (BWL), Business Administration, Business Informatics (Information Systems) or Business Psychology
Alternatively, a degree in Law or Industrial Engineering
Extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of the entire product lifecycle
Experience in building, analyzing and optimizing processes
Strong decisiveness, confident escalation management and strategic thinking abilities
Knowledge in the areas of tax, customs and logistics would be an advantage
German language skills at C1 level and fluent English
