About the role

  • Handle support requests in person or remotely.
  • Resolve basic hardware and software issues.
  • Guide users on correct use of systems, email, printers, networks, etc.
  • Log and track requests in a ticketing system.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laptops, desktops and peripherals.
  • Install and configure new equipment.
  • Replace components when necessary (HDD/SSD, memory, power supplies, keyboards, webcams, etc.).
  • Install corporate applications and operating systems.
  • Configure communication software (Teams, Outlook, VPN, etc.).
  • Update drivers and applications.
  • Configure access permissions according to company policies.
  • Register equipment in the inventory.
  • Manage loans and returns of laptops, peripherals and mobile phones.
  • Update asset tags.
  • Advise users on security best practices (passwords, phishing, backups).
  • Assist in enforcement of security policies (USB blocking, updates, etc.).
  • Report incidents to the responsible team.
  • Assist in deployment of new systems.
  • Perform basic functionality tests.
  • Provide support during migrations, upgrades or audits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (minimum).
  • Currently pursuing higher education in IT or a technical field.
  • Technical certification in IT, Networking or related areas (desirable).
  • Additional courses in IT (hardware, networking, support, Office 365, Windows, etc.).
