About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- educate patients on financial obligations
- review verification of benefits and estimated patient responsibilities
- process and review financial aid applications
- set up Payment Plans as needed
- bill lodging charges and manage cost balance
- help plan transitions between levels of care
- prepare financial paperwork for admissions
- communicate with claims department for billing issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highschool Diploma or GED- Required
- BA in Healthcare or related field (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Clear communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- commitment to excellent customer service
- understanding of mathematical principles
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare setting
