About the role
- Direct and manage projects to achieve high standards of quality, adherence to schedules, and budget goals
- Develop and update design documents, including one-line diagrams, electrical plans, and specifications
- Collaborate with customers, project teams, and management to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI)
- Identify potential project issues and provide solutions
- Undertake short-term travel as required by project assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high voltage (230kV and above) electrical substation engineering and design
- Advanced understanding of high voltage electrical substation components
- Proficiency in engineering software for design and analysis tasks
- Ability to produce and interpret design documents and drawings necessary for project execution
- Proven ability to supervise a technical team and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Competent in word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications
- Familiarity with GIS is a plus.
