About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures.
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required filings.
- Manage XBRL tagging and electronic filing requirements.
- Prepare required government financial reports.
- Research and interpret U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial disclosures related to acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex transactions.
- Support capital market transactions and related financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and SOX requirements.
- Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting.
- Coordinate external and internal audit activities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages.
- Oversee financial reporting for employee benefit plans and other required filings.
- Review the work of accounting staff for accuracy and completeness.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system implementations, acquisitions, and other special projects.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate financial reporting, or a combination of both.
- Experience preparing SEC filings and financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
- Experience with financial reporting and consolidation software is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
