About the role
- Build, enhance, and maintain relationships to retain customers and generate business.
- Directly responsible for achieving set targets related to dealer consignments, buyer attendance, and sales goals for online dealer-to-dealer automotive auctions.
- Resolve customer issues by taking immediate independent action or by directing the customer to the appropriate manager(s).
- Persuasively explain to customers and prospects how the company's products and services can reduce their costs and improve their operations.
- Provide customer training as needed.
- Stay informed about product and service innovations, evolving customer needs, market conditions, and competitors, and adjust sales strategy accordingly.
- Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and perform other sales-related administrative tasks.
- Design effective sales and marketing strategies for the territory.
- Identify sales opportunities through market research.
- Attend industry or promotional events (e.g., trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships.
- Organize training on the company's sales techniques and product features.
- Evaluate sales performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor competitors within the assigned region.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in the automotive industry as an outside Sales Representative (minimum 3 years)
- Languages: French (required), English (an asset)
- Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation for work assignments, and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a territory sales manager and in maintaining relationships
- Experience closing sales
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred.
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance metrics
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel
