About the role

  • Drive platform growth through new seller acquisition, strategic partnerships, and inventory expansion.
  • Identify, secure, and activate high-value sellers who bring strategic relevance, operational readiness, and scalable impact to eBay Live.
  • Operate with a hunter mindset — relentlessly pursuing opportunities, forging relationships, and capturing untapped seller potential to expand the marketplace.
  • Drive GMV per seller, seller acquisition targets, and support eBay Live category strategies.
  • Oversee and drive pipeline health, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability across the BD funnel.
  • Set and evaluate revenue targets, make budget investment decisions, and ensure high ROI.
  • Negotiate business terms and partnership agreements with high-value sellers and inventory partners.
  • Stay current with web and technology industry trends, especially as they relate to e-commerce.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, category trends, and potential partnership targets.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop BD Associates and Sales Coordinators to strengthen selling, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development and/or as an Account Executive
  • Results-oriented mindset
  • Driven by non-GMV KPIs
  • Proven experience working with external and cross-functional partners
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including strong proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with prevalent internet marketing methodologies
  • CRM experience required, with a strong preference for Salesforce
