Field Service Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide on-site field service support by performing installations, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance of complex capital equipment and systems
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules at multiple customer sites
- Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements
- Support multiple equipment platforms with flexibility and deep technical expertise
- Report to the Service Manager on equipment status, EHS concerns, and remediation actions with regular updates
- Act as the primary technical point of contact and engage directly with customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor field service
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, including the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, and technical drawings
- Proven ability to apply systematic, step-by-step troubleshooting methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of EHS policies and best practices, with a strong safety orientation
- Fluent in German and English
- Valid driver’s license for Europe
- Willingness to travel frequently and respond to urgent service calls
