About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Eavor’s business development activities and strategic market positioning.
  • Contribute to client acquisition, partnership development, and commercial opportunity evaluation.
  • Participate in client discussions, workshops, commercial negotiations, and industry events.
  • Identify new consulting and project support opportunities in the energy transition sector.
  • Help position Eavor as a trusted commercial and strategic partner within the market.
  • Lead and coordinate all business development and commercial aspects of energy and infrastructure projects from early-stage development through execution.
  • Act as key account of Eavor towards third-party stakeholders, such as utilities, project developers and infrastructure partners.
  • Support clients and project partners in structuring commercially viable and bankable project frameworks.
  • Develop commercial strategies that align technical, operational, financing, and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure projects are commercially structured to support financing, execution certainty, and long-term operational success.
  • Actively support project realization by identifying practical and commercially feasible solutions to complex project challenges.
  • Represent Eavor in all commercial risk management matters.
  • Support development of balanced and bankable risk allocation models between project stakeholders including utilities, project developers, contractors, suppliers, drilling companies, operators, insurance providers, and investors.
  • Support the negotiation and implementation of commercially sustainable contractual structures.
  • Evaluate commercial and contractual project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal advisors, financing institutions, insurers, and technical experts to ensure project bankability.
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and management of commercial contracts across project phases.
  • Work with Technical and Well Services team to develop standard consulting, screening, feasibility, and service agreements for Eavor’s growing advisory business.
  • Support the development of more complex contractual frameworks for major infrastructure projects.
  • Structure procurement and tendering processes for clients and project partners.
  • Coordinate commercial interfaces between technical, legal, procurement, and financing stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor project teams and cross-functional project contributors.
  • Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented working culture.
  • Drive accountability, transparency, creativity, and high-performance teamwork.
  • Support the continued growth and professional development of the commercial organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Economics or Business Administration with commercial specialization, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in commercial project management, business development/sales/proposals within the energy, infrastructure, power generation, drilling, or industrial project sector.
  • Proven experience in international project finance-based infrastructure or energy projects is mandatory.
  • Strong background in power plant projects, drilling projects, energy infrastructure, EPC environments, or comparable industrial sectors.
  • Experience with risk management in complex projects, and subsequent internal approval processes.
  • Extensive experience in: Commercial project management, Business Developments / Sales / Proposals, Contract management and commercial negotiations, Project finance environments, Procurement and supply chain management, Commercial risk management, Tendering and award procedures, Financial and commercial reporting, Stakeholder coordination in multi-party project environments.
  • Senior-level client and partner management capability — comfortable owning relationships and representing Eavor at the executive and technical level across industry, government, and partner environments.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams and external specialists in a project management capacity, delivering integrated outputs to clients.
  • Proven ability to operate independently with a high degree of initiative and accountability in a geographically distributed, growth-stage technology company.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, with experience navigating German business culture and stakeholder environments.
  • Professional fluency in German and English is required; additional European languages are considered an asset.
