About the role
- Facilitates curriculum-based groups
- Provides meal monitoring and support
- Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations 15%
- Provides support to Milieu including the following:
- De-escalation and crisis management
- Bathroom monitoring and support for eating disorder patients
- Monitoring outside breaks
- Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
- Support morning routine in IP/Res programs
- Collects and reports weights, vitals and urine in some settings
- Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends
- Will lead some psychotherapy groups
- Coverage for Primary Therapists (for individual, family and group therapies as well as for patient assessments) with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director
Requirements
- Graduate degree in mental health or related degree program - required
- Bachelors degree - required
- Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board - required
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic principles and techniques - required
- Ability to manage group dynamics effectively
- Proficient in keeping timely, detailed and accurate records - required
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively - required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - required
- 1+ year facilitating group-based treatment interventions - preferred
- 1+ year providing crisis management support and interventions - preferred
- 1+ year performing safety assessments and implementing safety management plans to patients in treatment at higher levels of care - preferred
