About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
  • Optimize and manage the data warehouse in BigQuery, ensuring data integrity and performance
  • Implement complex data transformations and modeling using Dataform (DBT)
  • Contribute to development of infrastructure for building data services and APIs
  • Implement and maintain data quality checks and monitoring processes
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and queries
  • Support machine learning workflows by enabling pipelines for feature engineering, model training, and deployment
  • Build and support an AI-driven insights layer leveraging modern data stack tools
  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Report to the Head of Data

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a data engineer or similar roles, ideally in SaaS, logistics, or e-commerce
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataform (DBT), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
  • Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes
  • Experience with building data services/API infrastructure
  • Experience with MLOps workflows, including setting up pipelines for feature engineering, model training, deployment, and monitoring using cloud-based tools (e.g., Vertex AI, Kubeflow, or MLflow) (preferable)
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
