About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Co‑responsible for the availability, reliability and efficiency of the complex system architecture consisting of about 70 Hetzner servers
Maintain and automate the existing infrastructure based on Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, ClickHouse and Kubernetes
Contribute ideas to optimize the infrastructure
Improve monitoring strategies and conduct comprehensive incident/root-cause analyses
Prevent recurring failures and ensure optimal system operations
Respond on occasion during night-time incidents to guarantee high system availability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in one or more programming languages, e.g., Rust, Java, Go or TypeScript
Strong understanding of system automation and IT security
Practical experience with some of the following systems: MySQL, TiDB, Kubernetes, MinIO and Elasticsearch
Business‑fluent German
Good command of English
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience contributing to open-source projects is a plus
