Accounting Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the full cycle of accounting including AP, AR, and general ledger maintenance.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and reporting.
- Manage federal, state, and private grant reporting requirements.
- Ensure proper allocation of costs and compliance with grant budgets and allowable cost principles.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area.
- Possess at least five (5) years of progressively more complex GL, Accounting and/or Finance Reporting experience, at least two (2) years of which are in a leadership capacity.
- Possess advanced knowledge and understanding of GAAP, non-profit reporting requirements, and financial statement analysis.
- Solid background in the use of computers specific to accounting systems/ modules.
