About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer a portfolio of trusts, estates, investment agencies, and custody accounts
  • Interpret trust instruments, wills, and legal documents
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Conduct ongoing account reviews
  • Serve as primary contact for clients and beneficiaries
  • Provide proactive communication and guidance
  • Generate new business opportunities
  • Complete administrative, investment, and compliance reviews
  • Work with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams
  • Coordinate projects and participate in project activities
  • Coordinate valuations, tax filings, and distributions
  • Exercise independent judgment, interpret complex documents, evaluate beneficiary needs, and communicate sensitive information appropriately
  • Serve as a relationship manager and trusted advisor to clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and internal partners
  • Ensure high-quality client service, fiduciary standards, regulatory compliance, risk management, and prudent oversight of assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 8+ years of experience in wealth or trust administration
  • High ethical standards and excellent judgment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills
  • Ability to prioritize, juggle a variety of tasks, operate independently, pay attention to detail, and interact with staff at all levels
  • Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to accept new assignments and pitch-in
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a member of a larger team
  • Knowledge of trust law, estate administration, and fiduciary standards
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and trust systems
  • Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) and/or Trust School desirable, but not required
