About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in the development and management of detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Support the coordination and collaboration with engineers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in implementing mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Help oversee quality control and safety management processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and assist in presenting progress reports, updates, and project documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between all project team members and external stakeholders, including the Technical Partner and Ground Investigation Partner.
  • Take responsibility of your own and others’ health and safety by adopting and working to the EWR Co Health and Safety principles.
  • Demonstrates a cost-conscious mindset, keeping tax payers’ money at the forefront of decisions.
  • Shows a commitment to innovation by proactively seeking creative solutions to challenges and opportunities.
  • Act as a role model for EWR Co’s vision and behaviours, working in ways that are aligned with EWR Co’s Ways of Working, as well as encouraging and supporting others to do so too.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in a project support role, preferably within the construction or railway industry.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Good understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera, is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of quality control and safety management processes within the construction industry.
