About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Make a real transformation to a person’s life, visiting them in the community and completing specialist assessments.
- Assess people in line with the Care Act and inform the interventions needed to meet people and carers needs.
- Manage and reduce risks, allowing people to remain as safe as possible in the community.
- Use a range of solutions including daily living equipment, moving and handling equipment, seating, minor housing adaptations, joint working with partner agencies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with the professional regulatory body.
- Communication skills including report writing, liaising with members of the public, managers and other agencies.
- Ability to plan and organise a varied workload for self and others, working to short deadlines.
- Experience of operating under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be set/reviewed.
- Ability to use initiative and take responsibility.
