About the role
- Manage Earnest’s end-to-end complaints program within the First Line of Defense, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant resolution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate complaints, identify root causes, and drive remediation.
- Monitor complaint trends and escalate regulatory, UDAAP, or systemic risks.
- Draft and review complaint responses and maintain complaint governance, reporting, and procedures.
- Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and 1LOD testing and monitoring activities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, audit, operational risk, or consumer lending operations.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations.
- Experience with complaints management and risk identification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
- Compliance, audit, or risk management certifications.
- Experience as a state or federal regulator.
- Prior compliance testing or monitoring experience.
