About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a specialized team to develop and implement a streamlined process to resolve a group of files on an expedited basis over a defined project timeline
Manage the timely, accurate and efficient processing of files involving College members
Identify risk, regulatory issues and direct cases for regulatory action or informal resolution
Manage investigations into professional conduct or competence of members
Develop, implement and monitor progress against the project plan, using identified case volumes and target timelines
Assign cases to intake and investigations staff and provide direction, guidance and advice as needed
Monitor case documentation, case volumes and workflow to ensure compliance with timelines and consistent, fair processing of intake and investigation matters
Review cases to assess risk, identify regulatory issues, and determine the sufficiency and accuracy of information received
Prepare and coordinate materials for presentation to the Complaints Committee
Manage the collection, monitoring and analysis of data to evaluate project effectiveness, identify process improvements, and provide information for audit, reporting and operational decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need

Diploma from a three-year college or university program and/or relevant experience in a related field/sector
5 to 7 years’ experience in management in a regulatory setting (or related field)
Proven project management skills to lead large initiatives and ensure timely delivery of all project milestones and deliverables
Strong experience of database software
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to identify issues, mitigate risk, and lead the resolution of complex implementation challenges
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Demonstrated coaching and people-management skills to motivate and develop team members
