• Manage the full monthly billing process
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and balance sheet reconciliations, support AP, AR, and banking activities
• Provide meaningful financial reporting, variance analysis, and trend insights
• Research and document technical accounting, tax, and compliance matters
• Prepare detailed workpapers for company income tax filings
• Manage multi-state tax filings, business license renewals, annual reports, and property tax assessments
• Oversee year-end 1099 preparation and submissions
• Review bookkeeper’s work for accuracy, provide coaching, and support ongoing training
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and recommend technology enhancements to improve efficiency
• Assist with and maintain the client engagement setup and processes
• Support HR administrative processes, including benefits management, monthly benefits reconciliation, and employee file maintenance
• Assist with new hire onboarding administration and other HR operational tasks as needed
• Provide general administrative support and contribute to internal projects as assigned
