About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the design of overhead transmission lines, including: Plan and profile development, Structure spotting support, Basic drafting and design tasks
- Support engineering calculations such as: Sag and tension analysis, Clearance checks
- Learn and utilize industry software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD)
- Assist in preparing engineering drawings, reports, and material lists
- Coordinate with internal teams including structural, environmental, and survey groups
- Participate in field visits and site assessments as needed
- Support quality control processes and documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering
- 0–3 years of relevant experience (internship experience acceptable)
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months
- Strong interest in transmission line engineering and infrastructure projects
- Exposure to PLS-CADD or similar engineering software (preferred)
- Familiarity with basic engineering design principles and standards (preferred)
- Internship or coursework related to power delivery or structural design (preferred)
