About the role
- The Project Manager will oversee and manage high-pressure pipeline integrity evaluation projects.
- Initiate project work order approvals and manage the coordination of all activities leading to the completion of assessment projects, including defining the project scope, setting timelines, creating initial cost estimates, and delivering stage-gate presentations.
- Establish and maintain project specifications based on project needs.
- Provide guidance to contractors, ILI vendors, consultants, and the project team.
- Oversee the execution and proper documentation of tasks throughout the integrity evaluation process.
- Evaluate regulatory impacts and requirements.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, industry standards, and Company policies.
- Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders to report on project status, stage-gate presentations, or findings from assessments.
- Collaborate with schedulers to keep Operations teams updated on the status of the assessment project.
Requirements
- Possess 3-5 years of Project Management work experience performed in a regulated utility industry
- Planning transmission or distribution work experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant project and field experience
- Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
- Ability to develop and deliver presentation in an internal and client setting to various levels of stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Display strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work with a team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage deliverables at all levels of the business structure from entry level to executive level management
- Strong time management and organizational skills a must
- Possess coachability, eager to learn with self-motivation and initiative
- Proven aptitude and demonstrated experience for high volume, complex projects and program management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
- NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) certification is highly desired
- Familiar with ASME B31.8, B31.8S, 49 CFR 192, API 1163 is highly desired
