About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Utilize 2D or 3D Computer Aided Design software to create /modify site development plans such as grading, drainage plans.
Utilize 2D Computer Aided Design software to create/ modify structural layouts, section views and details, for utility or substation projects.
Interpret verbal or written directions to initiate a preliminary design.
Review and revise drawings based on internal feedback and client comments.
Prepare bills of material (BOM) and specifications when drawings are complete.
Revise drawings and BOM consistent with engineering changes.
Implement revisions and change control per company standards at the direction of engineers.
Create new project folders and submit project documents to clients.
Effectively and accurately communicate relative project information to project design team.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma, certificate of technical drafting or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working in consulting engineering firm or equivalent experience
Proficient in ACAD and/or other similar software
Ability to create and/or modify engineers provided markups with a high level of attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Strong understanding of timekeeping and working in team environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
