About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for patients
- Create a welcoming experience while ensuring accurate, efficient registration
- Greet and welcome patients in person or by phone
- Collect demographic and financial data and enter information into electronic medical record
- Conduct patient check-in and interview to collect necessary information
- Assist patients with telephone encounters and de-escalate situations
- Collect co-pays and/or remaining balances
- Respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs
- Clean and disinfect the lobby and check-in area throughout the day
- Schedule appointments and/or assist with office communication needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
- 1 year of basic computer skills
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- 0 to 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- 0 to 2 years of customer service, clerical, or other business office environment experience
- 0 to 2 years of medical terminology knowledge
