About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for patients
  • Create a welcoming experience while ensuring accurate, efficient registration
  • Greet and welcome patients in person or by phone
  • Collect demographic and financial data and enter information into electronic medical record
  • Conduct patient check-in and interview to collect necessary information
  • Assist patients with telephone encounters and de-escalate situations
  • Collect co-pays and/or remaining balances
  • Respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs
  • Clean and disinfect the lobby and check-in area throughout the day
  • Schedule appointments and/or assist with office communication needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 1 year of basic computer skills
  • Associate's or Vocational degree
  • 0 to 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • 0 to 2 years of customer service, clerical, or other business office environment experience
  • 0 to 2 years of medical terminology knowledge
