About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a key member of the surgical team, with a focus in the Operating Room (OR) supporting procedures in: Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), Thoracic Surgery, Urology, Gynecology.
Provide some inpatient rounding across these multidisciplinary surgical specialties.
Clinic coverage as needed.
Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a Physician/Physician Assistant team in accordance with the designated specialty.
Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team.
Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in surgical oncology/surgical role
Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
