About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for leading the development, evaluation, management, and governance of Health Plan performance
Work directly with staff and senior leadership across the company to proactively identify and prioritize strategic needs and create meaningful and actionable outputs
Design and own governance operating models that drive accountability across areas of the business
Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners to drive complex project/initiative work
Consolidate research, authorship of key findings, and communication of timely strategic intelligence reports to senior management and Blue Cross NC Board
Partner and consult with internal clients to identify, plan and execute innovation efforts; help them better understand what problems they are trying to solve

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
5+ years of experience in related field
In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field
Healthcare industry experience; payor experience valued but not required
Ability to lead through influence, aligning stakeholders and driving action without relying on formal authority
Must be naturally curious and inquisitive, asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and uncovering insights others miss
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to frame complex topics clearly, concisely, and persuasively
