About the role

  • The Aireon Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Aireon teams that are making groundbreaking advancements in global air traffic surveillance.
  • As an intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one.
  • Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Aireon department on a project or important work assignment.
  • Support the Product Engineering Team in developing and refining tools to optimize internal procedures for our "Product Machine" process.
  • Learn the software development process, including Azure DevOps, the workflow from high-level requirements through testing and deployment, and the development of supporting documentation.
  • Engage and learn in several areas that support product development, including data analysis, prototype and mockup development, customer interactions, managing and validating all of our CI/CD Pipelines for code quality.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Some experience with Python programming and some example/sample projects
  • Software engineering technical background
  • API modeling and architecture knowledge
  • Microsoft Office products, including Teams
  • Python, HTML, APIs, SQL, Javascript, Oracle APEX
