About the role
- Lead a team responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting across all Medicare and Federal Employee Program (FEP) products.
- Manage a team of financial analysts, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention to retain top FP&A talent, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the team, aligned with organizational strategy and Medicare financial objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to enhance financial performance and strategic decision-making for Government Markets.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to ensure thorough diligence and support informed decision-making.
- Produce and deliver financial performance reports that provide transparency into market health and profitability.
- Support financial planning and forecasting for Medicare and FEP, identifying and sizing risks and opportunities.
- Monitor market-level P&L performance, escalating financial risks and variances to Government Market leadership.
- Coordinate inputs from cross-functional stakeholders—including risk, implementation costs, and operational impacts—to support optimal product pricing.
- Perform financial gap analyses and communicate findings to business partners to drive corrective action and strategic alignment.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis for capital investments, strategic initiatives, and new market entries within the Medicare segment.
- Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure financial processes and reporting meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Educate non-financial stakeholders on Medicare financial dynamics to support informed decision-making across departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and 10 years of related experience.
- In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Medicare Part D financials is highly preferred.
