About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Transcribe court proceedings, trials, and depositions from audio recordings with precision
  • Accurately identify speakers and capture all spoken content in verbatim format
  • Apply quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court formatting rules
  • Demonstrate understanding of legal terminologies, colloquy, and court-specific language
  • Manage 1-3 day turnaround times, allowing minimum of 1 day per 1 hour of assigned audio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in transcribing court proceedings, trials, and depositions
  • Experience transcribing large jury trials is a plus!
  • AAERT certified applicants will have premier consideration for the position
  • Ability to distinguish and format Q&A and colloquy format
  • Competence in using transcription software and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to undergo a skills assessment test
