About the role
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget for Space Vehicle projects and programs
- Work directly with engineering teams and operational stakeholders to deliver hardware and software through the full development lifecycle
- Collaborate with engineering leaders and management to meet schedule, cost, and quality requirements
- Lead engineering trade-offs, track and report status, and resolve blocking issues
- Ensure deliverables are identified and tracked across architecture, hardware, and software teams
- Identify and lead program risk management and escalate urgent issues to drive timely closure
- Coordinate vendor deliveries and follow up on action items with owners
- Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates
- Report to the Director, Technical Program Management and work with Responsible Engineers across multiple functional areas and geographic locations
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working in spacecraft development environments
- Experience in the design and development of aerospace hardware, software and/or assembly, integration and test
- Experience as an engineering lead, technical program manager, or equivalent
- Proficient with schedule tracking tools such as SmartSheet or alternatives
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Must hold work authorization for the location of this role (E-Space cannot provide sponsorship)
- Comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams
- (Bonus) Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- (Bonus) Familiarity with ITAR and EAR regulations and compliance
- (Bonus) Experience with planning and execution of Spacecraft Integration & Test procedures
