About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Your main responsibilities include the administration, configuration and operation of e.discom's firewall infrastructure and the associated network components.
You support the development of organizational and technical solutions as well as the corresponding policies.
You create technological specifications for ICT services and secure network operations within e.discom and across the E.ON group.
You are responsible for the technical planning and implementation of strategic projects, as well as for ensuring compliance with technical requirements, security regulations and maintenance tasks within your area of responsibility.
You lead working groups and specialist teams.
Partner company management and coordination of service providers are part of your duties.
Additionally, you prepare reports and analyses for customers and management.
Approximately every five weeks, you participate in a rotating weekly on-call duty.

Requirements

What you’ll need

You hold a university or university of applied sciences degree in Information Technology (Master's, Diplom) or a comparable technical qualification.
Professional experience in firewall administration.
Knowledge of network security with regard to critical infrastructures is an advantage.
Experience with vendors such as SonicWall, Fortinet and Check Point is desirable.
Strong understanding of cross-system and IT technical interdependencies.
You work with initiative and are results- and customer-oriented.
Working in this security-relevant role requires willingness to undergo an enhanced security clearance in accordance with the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG).
You demonstrate teamwork and conflict-management skills as well as strategic and entrepreneurial thinking and actions.
