About the role

  • You develop practical implementation concepts for AC/DC auxiliary power systems (batteries, battery chargers, DC boost converters, backup generators, inverters) and accompany these from concept to implementation.
  • You design and execute new-build, refurbishment and maintenance projects in the area of auxiliary power systems for substations and medium-voltage switching stations, with a focus on technical innovation and sustainable solutions.
  • Together with your colleagues, you take responsibility for system engineering and closely coordinate your concepts with the relevant internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • You are responsible for defined project phases, ensure compliance with schedule, quality and safety requirements, and identify potential risks early in the planning phase.
  • As the system-technical contact person you represent Bayernwerk externally, answer system, planning and environmental-technical questions with expertise, and actively uphold our internal safety and knowledge culture.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy or a comparable qualification.
  • Business-fluent German.
  • Experience in substations and switchgear.
  • Knowledge of auxiliary power system technology.
  • Strong commercial understanding (cost accounting, cost estimation).
