About the role

  • Build and operate scalable backend services for a multi-tenant platform
  • Ensure robust interfaces to AI capabilities (e.g., image analysis, text recognition)
  • Develop and optimize computer vision pipelines (object detection, instance segmentation, OCR)
  • Integrate LLMs (Azure OpenAI) for extraction, validation, and assistance features
  • Contribute new ideas to planned text and image use cases and turn prototypes into maintainable, production-ready services

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Several years of experience developing software in Python (including REST APIs, testing, database interactions, and resilient service designs)
  • Solid understanding of ML in production (e.g., PyTorch/ONNX or similar): inference, model lifecycle, and typical production trade-offs
  • CI/CD: a clear DevOps mindset (CI/CD, automated deployments, etc.)
  • Desirable: experience with cloud development and containerized applications
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to understand complex relationships and translate them into technically optimized and process-integrated solutions
  • Team player with strong communication skills and an independent working style
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
