About the role

  • Configure Intune application and update deployments, ensuring reliable rollouts through techniques such as supersedence, rollback, wave-based deployment, dependency sequencing, detection logic, and exception handling.
  • Translate business and security requirements into precise Intune policies, identify and configure the right settings, resolve conflicts, optimize targeting with groups and filters, and continuously refine assignments for consistency and compliance across all device types.
  • Design, configure, and manage device enrollment processes, including automatic MDM enrollment and user-driven enrollment, ensuring smooth and compliant onboarding across all device types.
  • Manage and govern the Intune tenant and its service-wide settings, including enrollment options, compliance configurations, platform restrictions, notifications, and integration with Entra ID and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) policies to enforce appropriate access and least privilege principles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device compliance, app deployment, enrolment and configuration.
  • Deliver actionable reports on device management and usage patterns.
  • Write and maintain documentation related to Intune management.
  • Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to ensure effective device management and service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging Intune features to continuously improve device management capabilities.

Requirements

  • extensive expertise in device and application management using Microsoft Intune, with a proven track record in large-scale corporate environments
  • very strong knowledge of PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
  • understanding of configuration-as-code practices and GitOps
  • awareness of Entra ID capabilities leveraged by Intune (automatic MDM enrollment, device joining, user/device grouping, Intune licenses, authentication, and Conditional Access)
  • knowledge of key components, including an understanding of the protocol stack (e.g., OMA DM, OMA URI, CSP, SyncML), Windows agents (e.g., IME), policy processing, logs, and synchronization mechanisms
  • strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • proficient in using KQL to query Azure Log Analytics for reporting
  • good collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across multiple teams
